Oh, and a little insight into the level of care and quality you can expect? Our executive chef and co-owner, Cameron Davies, is a two-time Beef + Lamb New Zealand Ambassador Chef. So there’s that.
Our Pure South handpicked beef comes from Alliance, a 100% farmer-owned co-operative, and our lamb is sourced from Burwood Station, mere minutes from Te Anau. Even our venison is local, having been sourced through Fare Game from the untouched mountains of Fiordland. Lucky us, honestly.
If you’ve ordered a seafood dish from us, you’re in for a real treat. Our blue cod, butterfish, paua, salmon, and other ocean delicacies come from Bluff, Harbour Fish, and Akaroa King Salmon.

Let’s Talk Sustainability
Food and general waste are a huge problem worldwide. And it’s really important to us that we contribute as little as possible to that issue. That’s why we have sustainability practices in place that prioritise our region’s well-being.
Ask us why we have a random assortment of bottle caps, and we’ll tell you. We collect and donate bottle caps to our local Lions Club, where they’re recycled through the Kantabs project to support Kidney Kids NZ.
And be sure to bring your reusable cup or use one of ours through the Again Again Network so we can do our part to reduce the hundreds of millions of disposable cups that end up in landfill every year.
You can also bring your Tetrapak cartons to us. We’re a local drop-off point so the Lions Recycling Centre can turn them into Save Board building materials.
And if you’re worried about the few chips or pieces of salad you’ve left on your plate – don’t be. We donate all kitchen scraps to local chickens or turn them into compost. We’ve thought of everything.
