The Fat Duck Restaurant is an award-winning gastropub located in beautiful Te Anau, on the edge of Fiordland National Park. With world-class outdoor adventures and the lake right on our doorstep, this is a unique opportunity to live and work in one of New Zealand\u2019s most stunning regions \u2014 just a short drive from Queenstown and Invercargill.<\/p>

We\u2019re on the lookout for an experienced Front of House All-Rounder<\/strong> who thrives in a fast-paced environment, genuinely enjoys engaging with guests, and wants to be part of a supportive, high-performing team. <\/p>

What you\u2019ll be doing:<\/strong><\/p>

• Delivering exceptional, personable service that keeps guests coming back<\/li>\n
• Working across both floor and bar (with a focus on floor service)<\/li>\n
• Supporting junior team members and contributing to a positive team environment<\/li>\n
• Using our digital systems for day-to-day operations<\/li>\n
• Assisting with restaurant setup, bookings, and guest flow<\/li>\n
• Contributing to weekly team meetings and business discussions (we operate an Open Book Management model)<\/li>\n<\/ul>

  What we\u2019re looking for:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Proven experience in a busy hospitality environment<\/li>\n
  • A warm, confident personality and genuine love of customer service<\/li>\n
  • Ability to stay calm and efficient during peak periods<\/li>\n
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow systems and procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>

      Hours:<\/strong><\/p>

      • Dinner service only<\/li>\n
      • 6 days a week in winter, 7 days in summer<\/li>\n
      • Includes weekends and a mix of opening and closing shifts<\/li>\n<\/ul>

        Please note:<\/strong> Applicants must currently be in New Zealand with a valid open work visa. Sponsorship is not available. This is a permanent full-time position, and not suitable for backpackers or those on Working Holiday Visa's.<\/p>
