Since we took over The Fat Duck in 2016, we have loved living and working in one of the most beautiful parts of New Zealand. We take pride in providing the best hospitality for our guests. We are committed to continually developing our business and team while also being involved and contributing to the local community. But let's be honest, Eli is in it for the after-school milkshakes and hot chips.

Hola! You can call me Nico, I'm from Uruguay originally, I've been living in New Zealand since 2013 mainly in Queenstown and Alexandra, in Te Anau since October 2020. As a South American a big mixture of local and European cuisine is in my roots together with the different flavours I've acquired through working in good restaurants in NZ. Always doing my best to understand what Kiwis like and giving my personal touch to contribute to the growth of Aotearoa's gastronomy. Learning new things and home time with my wife is where I spend most of the time out of work. Say hi if you see me around.

I am originally from Spain, but am basically a kiwi now, if you can forgive me for struggling to learn the rugby rules! When I am not greeting and accommodating people into our restaurant with a bright smile, you can find me up in the mountains. I love hiking and the outdoors, so anything you want to know about our beautiful Fiordland, feel free to ask me and I would love to help!

Back in 2016, I went for an interview with Cam and Selina in Gore, thinking the job was in Gore and with no idea of where Te Anau was. Fast forward to 2020, I have been proudly working at The Fat Duck restaurant since Cam and Selina took over the restaurant in June 2016, helping to mould the restaurant into what it is today. In my spare time, I enjoy playing video games, cooking for others and road trips in my car.

Hi, I am AJ. I am originally from the Philippines but I have lived in New Zealand for the last 7 years. I have worked here at The Fat Duck since December 2016. I love and am passionate about food and I like to bring some of my influence into our seasonal menus. In my spare time I like to be active by playing basketball, downhill mountain biking especially in Queenstown, or hitting the slopes on my snowboard.
