Since we took over The Fat Duck in 2016, we have loved living and working in one of the most beautiful parts of New Zealand. We take pride in providing the best hospitality for our guests. We are committed to continually developing our business and team while also being involved and contributing to the local community. But let's be honest, Eli is in it for the after-school milkshakes and hot chips.

Hi, it's Dan here from the Netherlands. In 2012 I finished my chef course in The Netherlands and decided to go on an adventure and travel to the other side of the world to explore the culinary cuisine of New Zealand. This has brought me to The Fat Duck in Te Anau where I have been working for 4 years. It's great to use the local produce of Southland to create outstanding dishes which we can be proud of. In my free time, I create the most useless awesome videos ever, DB productions is all over it!

I am originally from Spain, but am basically a kiwi now, if you can forgive me for struggling to learn the rugby rules! When I am not greeting and accommodating people into our restaurant with a bright smile, you can find me up in the mountains. I love hiking and the outdoors, so anything you want to know about our beautiful Fiordland, feel free to ask me and I would love to help!

Hi, I’m Jeremy, Sous Chef at The Fat Duck Te Anau. I have been cooking for almost 20 years now, from cruise ships to cafes. I enjoy using the fresh farmed and wild produce from Te Anau and surrounding local areas, creating dishes to tantalise locals and visitors alike. A creative person at heart at work and home, always ready for the next culinary adventure!!

Back in 2016, I went for an interview with Cam and Selina in Gore, thinking the job was in Gore and with no idea of where Te Anau was. Fast forward to 2020, I have been proudly working at The Fat Duck restaurant since Cam and Selina took over the restaurant in June 2016, helping to mould the restaurant into what it is today. In my spare time, I enjoy playing video games, cooking for others and road trips in my car.
